Anton will be performing with his band on Sunday, April 13, at Theater de Schuur in Zevenbergen in North Brabant. He already gave a private concert there a year ago. Because all the visitors were so impressed by the songs, the music and the stage performance, there will now be a public concert in the afternoon at Theater de Schuur. It starts at 2 pm, admission starts at 1.30 pm.
In recent years, Anton has concentrated on concerts in Germany, including in Werl-Büderich, Paderborn and Bad Sassendorf. Now he is returning musically from his second home in Germany to his first home in the Netherlands - and will be performing with his professional live band in Zevenbergen in the municipality of Moerdijk. This is made possible by the Cultuur Moerdijk Foundation. Tickets for the afternoon concert are also available on their website.
A love of music is the main reason for Anton van Doornmalen to pursue a serious career in music. In 2004, Anton took a three-month sabbatical and used it primarily to fulfill a childhood dream: his own album. It became “Songs for the asking”: a compilation of his own interpretations of well-known songs.
Since then, Anton has written many songs and released longplayers with songs about life, travel, but also about everyday life. Anton is always moved by personal stories. In addition to his own songs, Anton also interprets songs by Boudewijn de Groot, Herman van Veen, and Reinhard May.
