Anton didn't have far to travel when he performed in Zevenbergen on Sunday. The small town in the municipality of Moerdijk near Fijnaart is home to the beautiful cabaret theater de Schuur, where Anton celebrated his premiere together with his live band.
Warm songs about life
Anton sang personal, warm and beautiful songs about life – all under the heading ‘Journey’. He took the theatergoers on a cheerful but also thoughtful journey through different countries, various cities, but also through life. To underscore the music visually, Anton also presented images and videos. The reactions of the audience in the cozy little theater were outstanding.
Duett with Anke
The special highlight of the benefit concert was the joint performance by Anton and his daughter Anke, with whom he performed the song “Talent”, among others. The song is about using and developing your talents.
Anton van Doornmalen was accompanied by his highly professional live band: Joke de Jong (violin), Co Vergouwen (keyboard/vocals), Johan Boere (percussion), Jorge Nieuwenhuis (vocals) and Laurens van Wessel (musical direction).
Upcoming concerts
You missed the concert? No problem! Anton is giving three concerts in Zevenbergen in the 25/26 theater season. Tickets for the concert are already available. All dates take place in Theater de Schuur on the Kerkstraat. The concerts start at 2 pm, the auditorium opens at 1.30 pm. The first two dates will take place this year, on Sunday, November 30 and Sunday, December 21 - just before Christmas. Finally, Anton and his highly professional live band will play another concert on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
All proceeds will go to the Dutch Stichting Sibusiso.
