The roots of "We are just Seedsman"
The roots of the song go back to the year 1996. Back then, Anton has performed the song “FIS” during the world seed congress in Amsterdam. In the meantime, Anton van Doornmalen developed the version “We are just Seedsman”. This version is about Rijk Zwaan and the work for the company based in De Lier, NL. In this week, the song will return to its original form for the “ISF” congress in Rotterdam in 2024, but with the title “ISF”.

In 1996, when Anton originally performed the song “FIS”, the World Seed Congress was still known as the Fédération Internationale du Commerce des Semences. In 2002, the FIS and ASSINEL became the current organization ISF, International Seed Federation.
